Harold V. “Hal” Ashcom

Harold V. “Hal” Ashcom, age 84, of Bluffton, SC died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Ashcom was born on January 4, 1933 in Duquesne, PA, the son of the late Charles Lewis Ashcom and Mary Slater Ashcom. Hal worked as a metallurgist with Westinghouse. He is survived by his life partner, Janet M. Martin; daughter, Judy Lee Fundak; sons, Kenneth Harold Ashcom and Dale Anthony Ashcom (Yamile); grandchildren, Eric, Daniel, Sarah, Martina, and Matteo; and great-grandson, Jaron. Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton is assisting the family with a private memorial service.
