Harold Eustace (Jerry) Ruble Jr., 79, of Bluffton, SC passed December 6, 2017, at Medical University of South Carolina. Jerry was born on April 16, 1938 in Honolulu, HI, the son of the late Harold Eustace Ruble Sr. and Virginia Ruble. Jerry was a 20 year Navy Veteran, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam Era. After retiring from the U.S. Navy, he went to work for two United States Defense Contractors to include the Vitro Corporation as well as CACI International Inc. as an Electronics Engineering Tech. developing Missile Defense Systems for increased national security measures. Outside of work and civic involvement, Jerry enjoyed traveling with his wife exploring new adventures, golfing, and participating in activities at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Additionally, Jerry had the distinct privilege of serving as President of the Bethel-Emmanuel United Methodist Men while residing in Morattico, VA. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandy Ruble; 5 children, Harold Eustace Ruble III, Michael Paris Ruble, Katherine Margaret Geddes, Thomas Patrick Ruble, Sean Eric Ruble; 1 stepson, William Tracy Meyer; 15 grandchildren, Amber Allen-Ruble, Kianna Ruble, Harold Ruble IV, Leah Ruble, Tori Ruble, Joshua Turgel, Justin Turgel, Madison Ruble, Axton Ruble, Slayde Ruble, Alissa Smith-Ruble, Kelsey Smith-Ruble, Taylor Brundage-Ruble, Allyson Meyer, Ryan Meyer; and 3 great-grandchildren, Ava Watkins, Landon Turgel, Benjamin Galvez. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Friday, December 15, 2017, 2:00pm at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3080 Okatie Highway, Okatie, SC 29909. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Property, Preservation, and Improvement Fund, P.O. Box 2779, Bluffton, SC 29910, The American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
