Harriet Jackson Brinson Lawson

Harriet Jackson Brinson Lawson, 87 of Ridgeland, SC, widow of Johnny Clark Lawson, passed away on May 21, 2017 at the Ridgeland Nursing Center, Ridgeland, SC.

Mrs. Lawson was born in Sylvania, GA on July 7, 1929. She was the daughter of the late Barney Lamar Brinson and Rachel LuTisha Sharpe Brinson. She was a Bookkeeper for Bay Motors in Beaufort for many years. She was a Baptist and was a dedicated member at the Port Royal Baptist Church for over 50 years. She loved her family and all people and her passion was cooking.

Mrs. Lawson leaves to cherish her memories, her son, D. Clark Lawson (Dianne) of Ridgeland, SC; her grandson, Brett Lawson of Ridgeland; her granddaughter, Nikki Lawson Davis (Bill) of Ridgeland; two great grandchildren, Aubrey and Baylor Davis and a great granddaughter, Hallie Davis. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Emily Lisa Lawson, brother, Norwood Edsel Brinson and sister, Francis Brinson Young.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC.
