Harriett Langford Jenkins

Harriett Langford Jenkins, 80, of Ridgeland and widow of Samuel E. Jenkins Sr. passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home. She was born in Gillisonville, SC on May 1, 1935 to the late John Elliott and Jennie Creswell Langford Sr. She was a homemaker and caregiver. She was a life member of the Gillisonville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years. She mixed many pitchers of Kool-Aid. She is survived by her two sons, Samuel E. Jenkins Jr. and Harry H. Jenkins both of Ridgeland and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Bryson Langford and John Langford and her sisters, Maggie Smith, Ruth Mears and Margaret Gay. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 5, 2015 in the Gillisonville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am until the hour of the service in the church social hall.
