Harry Bernard Brasch, 87 of Bluffton, SC passed away at the home of his daughter in Lacombe, LA on Thursday, August 18, 2011.He was born in San Pedro, California on June 8, 1924. He was the son of the late Bruno and Edith Currier Brasch.He was the owner of ACE Quality Hardware of Ridgeland. He was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a former member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church where he had served as Chairman of the Trustees Official Board; choir member and Director of the choir for two years. He was Past President of the Ridgeland Business Association and Jasper County Chamber of Commerce. He was the former owner of the Coral Truck Stop. He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Bluffton.He is survived by his son, James R. (Jimmy) Brasch and Susan of Ridgeland; one daughter, Carol B. McCullough and Dave of Lacombe, LA; several nieces and nephews and a long time companion, Marilyn Hatfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Brantley Brasch.Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 23, 2011 in the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 351 Buckwalter Parkway, Bluffton with burial in the Grahamville Cemetery, Ridgeland, SC. The family will receive friends from 5 til 7, Monday evening, August 22, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton.
