Heleen Michelle Cilli March 31, 1966 – December 27, 2024

Heleen Michelle Cilli began her heavenly journey on December 27, 2024, after battling cancer for several months. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones in her home. She was born on March 31, 1966, in East Orange, New Jersey, to John and Arlene Lusk. Heleen spent most of her life in Belleville, New Jersey, before relocating to Bluffton, South Carolina, in 2000.

Heleen was a devoted wife to Paul Cilli for 27 years. Heleen is survived by Paul, her two children, Ashley Lazaro and Danielle Cilli, and her beloved grandchild, Johnathon Lazaro. She is also deeply mourned by her two older brothers, Kevin and Eugene Dyas, her mother, Arlene Lusk, her sister-in-law, Judy Dyas, and other friends and family.

Heleen graduated from Belleville High School in 1984. She worked for the Newark Archdiocese in the legal department. Upon moving to Bluffton, she worked for Vaux Marscher Berglind as a paralegal for 22 years, where she formed friendships and connections that transcended the workplace.

Heleen’s friends, coworkers, and especially her family, will always remember her for her sharp wit, easy charm, and elegant style. She had a special way of lighting up a room and making everyone laugh. Above all, Heleen was a loving wife, daughter, mother, and friend. Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will rest with God forever.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Sauls Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 12, 2025, also at Sauls Funeral Home.
