Helen Rowse Dean

Helen R. DeanRidgeland, SCHelen Rowse Dean, 87, died peacefully Tuesday, September 1, 2009 surrounded by her loved ones at Hospice House of Savannah in Savannah, GA. Helen was born July 15, 1922 to Thomas Watson and Alba Lee Rowse in Sylvania, GA but moved to Statesboro at an early age. She was a graduate of Statesboro High School and Georgia Teachers College, what is now Georgia Southern University. She retired after 26 years of service from South Carolina Department of Social Services where she served as District Director of the seven county, 4th District of SC.
