Helen Mccullough Inglis

Helen McCullough Inglis, 87 of Bluffton, SC died Friday, January 10, 2014 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 27, 1926. Helen was raised in Jacksonville, FL where she met her husband, Allick Wyllie Inglis, Jr. ("Al"). Helen and Al were married in 1945 and together they have lived in Bluffton for more than 53 years. Helen was an avid bridge player and golfer; she belonged to several local bridge clubs and was a long-time member of the Bluffton Garden Club. She enjoyed spending time on the May River, whether on boat rides or sitting on the bluff with her family and friends. In addition to her husband of 68 years, Helen is survived by her brother Andrew McCullough (Maurine) of Canton, GA and five children: Allick Wyllie Inglis, III (Jane); Helen Inglis Goodman (William); Edgar Andrew Inglis (Lori); Robert Durden Inglis (Mary Anne); and Richard McCullough Inglis (Amy). In addition, Helen has 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild - all of whom knew her as "Nana." A service for the family and friends was held on Monday, January 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Church of The Cross.
