Helen M. Robinson

Helen (Sis) Robinson (nee Duffy) - Passed away peacefully on March 8, 2015, in her 90th year. Sis is survived by her five daughters: Helen Ann Robinson, Eileen Moore, Elizabeth Lorenzen, Alyce Robinson and Regina Robb, and her two sisters, Kathleen Flaherty and Dorothy Murphy. She will be sadly missed by her sons-in-law Dennis Robinson, Bill Moore, Bill Lorenzen and Bruce Robb, and her brother-in-law Bill Flaherty. She was a loving grandmother to Brian and Elizabeth Moore, Brendan and Marnie Robinson, Erin and Brian Wallace, Paul Lorenzen, and Tom and Denise Lorenzen. Great grandmonther to Zoe and Brody Moore, Natalie and Makayla Robinson, and Alice and Meghan Wallace. Sis was born and grew up in Ridgewood, Queens, NY in 1924. In 1945 she was graduated from the College of Mount St. Vincent with a Bachelor of Science. In 1948, she married her childhood sweetheart, Bill Robinson, and they enjoyed 62 years of wedded bliss. Sis went on to teach science at P.S. 109 Junior High School for 20 years, while earning a Masters in Science from Brooklyn College. Sis and Bill retired to Kingston NY, in 1984, where she enjoyed volunteering for the Kingston Hospital. She was recognized for her service, as the 1995 honoree at the annual Kingston Hospital Tulip Ball. In 2010, Sis and Bill moved to Hilton Head to enjoy the sun and beach. She will be remembered as a community leader and, for her love of family. Visitation will be from 5:00 â
