Helen Rowland Martin

Helen Rowland Martin, age 84, was born on March 11, 1942 in Chattanooga, TN, the daughter of James & Marjorie (Buck) Rowland. She was raised in Flossmoor, IL and then attended Mills College in Oakland, CA. She went on to law school at Golden Gate University and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1980. She was married to her loving husband Jerry C. Martin for 47 years and made Vacaville, CA their home for many years before moving to Bluffton, SC in 2007. She enjoyed traveling the United States in their RV and spending time with their beloved dogs.

She is survived by her brother James Rowland, nieces Jennifer Rowland and Jaclyn (Rick) Borja, sister-in-law Joyce Baker, brother-in-law Jack Martin and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband Jerry C. Martin and brother David A. Rowland.

Helen will be laid to rest at Wiley Cemetery in Colfax, IL. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your local animal shelter.
