Helen P. NewmanHardeeville, SCHelen Elizabeth Pritchard Newman, 85, widow of L. Clarence Newman, passed away May 18, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Green Cove Springs, FL after a long illness.She was born on December 31, 1923 in Emanuel Co., GA to the late John Harley Pritchard, Sr. and Alice Truett Pritchard.She was retired from Union Camp Corp. and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.She is survived by her daughter, Robin (George) Meador of Hardeeville, SC; two brothers, John (Julia) Pritchard and Joe (Barbara) Pritchard, all of Savannah, GA; two sisters, Barbara Sartor and Ruth Barnard, both of Orangepark, FL and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 22, 2009 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC with burial in Purrysburg Cemetery in Hardeeville, SC. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8, Thursday, May 21, 2009 at the funeral home.
