Henry Chester Walker III, 77 of Bluffton, SC passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home. He was born in Ridgeland, SC on December 7, 1936 to the late Henry C. Walker and Bess Suber Walker. He was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Class of 1962. He was a US Army veteran. He was a high school football referee; an insurance adjuster for State Farm; agent for Prudential Insurance Company; a Mason and Shriner. He retired to Charleston, SC moving back to Ridgeland and later to Sun City Hilton Head. Sports were his great enjoyment. He is survived by his daughters, Danna Walker Lilly (John) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Nancy Walker Jackson (Russell) of Charleston, SC and Anne Walker Jacoby (Bryan) of Hilton Head Island, SC; his grandchildren, Alexa and Kacy Lilly, Maggie and Cory Jackson and Kenzie, and Brady Walker Jacoby. He was predeceased by his sister, Kay Walker. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 5, 2014 at the Okatee Baptist Church, Okatie, SC. The family requests that any memorial donations be made to Okatee Baptist Church, 5467 N Okatie Hwy Ridgeland, SC 29936.
