Henry Martin Bougus, Jr.

Henry Martin Bougus, Jr., 66, of Bluffton, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Hilton Head Hospital. Marty, as he was known, was born in Syracuse, NY on August 23, 1952 to Henry and Helen Bougus.

Marty was a painting contractor for many years in Syracuse and the Bluffton/Hilton Head area and enjoyed fishing, boating, golf, the NY Jets and SU sports. His proudest moments were spent with his beloved son Sam, sharing their passions and love of the outdoors.

Marty was predeceased by his father, Henry, and his son, Samuel, who died in May, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sandra (Sgroi), also of Syracuse; his mother, Helen;  sisters Donna, Linda and Patty; brothers Tom and Bobby; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Bluffton on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a private burial at Low Country Memorial Gardens.
