Henry DuPont, Sr., 82, of Ridgeland, SC passed away Sunday, December 02, 2012 at Coastal Carolina Medical Center in Hardeeville, SC.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on July 23, 1930 to the late Isaac Singleton and Sophie Jenkins.He was formerly a construction worker. He was a Deacon and member of First Heyward Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Miles DuPont of Ridgeland, SC; two sons; five daughters; two stepdaughters; one brother; three sisters and several grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, December 07, 2012 at Mount Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland with burial in Taylor Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Thursday, December 06, 2012 at Sauls Funeral Home in Ridgeland, SC. A wake service will be held from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm at First Heyward Baptist Church following the visitation on Thursday.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements.
