Henry Richard Gureck

Rev. Henry Richard Gureck, 74, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at his home in Bluffton, SC with his family at his side.He was born in Hempstead, NY on December 14, 1936. He was the son of the late William Richard and Elizabeth Girnt Gureck.Rev. Gureck began his ministries in Resurrection Lutheran Church in Syracuse, NY and was later called to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bayside, NY. While presiding over Good Shepherd, Rev. Gureck started a school for the mentally disabled in the basement of the church. He continued his social ministries as the executive director of Ken Crest Centers in Mont Claire PA. and was subsequently President of The Woods Schools in Langhorne PA. Prior to retirement to Sun City, Rev. Gureck was the Director of Schwenksville Manor in Lansdale, PA.He was a member of the Lowcountry Presbyterian Church. Hank was active in the Sun City Softball Men
