Henry Millard Jones

Henry Millard Jones, 93, of Ridgeland, SC passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2008 in the Hospice House of Savannah, GA.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on April 7, 1915. He was the son of the late Paul Wesley and Fannie Estelle Malphrus Jones.He was the former owner of Jones Feed & Seed Company. He was a member of Ridgeland Baptist Church. He was the former President of the Sgt. Jasper Country Club where he designed the back nine holes of the Country Club course. After retiring he was employed by the office of Dr. Charles P. Ryan Jr.He is survived by two daughters, Syble J. Hollingshead of Ridgeland, SC and Mitzi J. (Robert) Johnson of Harleyville, SC; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and fifteen great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Hazel Woods Jones and daughter, Virginia Ryan.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, December 22, 2008 at the Ridgeland Baptist Church, Ridgeland, SC with burial in the Ridgeland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 til 6, Sunday evening, December 21, 2008 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland, SC.
