Henry L. (Pete) AltmanHardeeville, SCHenry Leroy (Pete) Altman, 64, died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at his home in Hardeeville, SC.He was born April 23, 1943 in Fairfax, SC to the late Freddie Altman and Gertie M. Way Altman. He was the owner of Altman Glass and Door Company; A U. S. Army Veteran of the Cuban Missle Crisis and Bay of Pigs; a member of Red Dam Baptist Church, Hardeeville Masonic Lodge and a charter member of the Hardeeville Marine Rescue Squadron.He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Cooler Altman of Hardeeville, SC; one brother, Freddie Altman, Jr. of Shreveport, LA; two sisters, Dorothy Tjapkes of Muskegon, MI and Reba Youmans of Guyton, GA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Altman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2007 at Red Dam Baptist Church, Hardeeville, SC with burial in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8 pm, Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC.
