Henry Howard "Bo" Pollitzer

Henry Howard “Bo” Pollitzer died in his home in Buckingham Landing in Bluffton on December 3,2025 where he lived amongst the friends and family he adored. He was born at Fort Jackson in Columbia, SC, the only son of Henry Higgins Pollitzer and Credle “Betsy” Pollitzer on December 14, 1957.

The family moved to Beaufort, S.C. shortly following his birth. His parents passed away in his early childhood, and he was raised and loved here in the Lowcountry by members of his extended family including Henry and Betty Chambers, Rick and Anne Pollitzer of Beaufort, Stratty Pollitzer and Barbara Greco, Christiaan and Harriet Pollitzer of Buckingham Landing.

He was a loyal and dedicated employee of UtiliQuest for almost 10 years where management and fellow employees alike enjoyed his easy-going attitude and his goof-ball sense of humor. Bo was a truly unique man of small stature who had an immense and youthful heart which belied his body’s frame. He was always himself, never pretentious, and consistent in just being Bo. He truly personified the idea of never growing up.

A child of the 60’s and 70’s he had an All-American love for Southern Rock, Nascar (especially Dale Earnhardt #3), Carolina Gamecocks (deep down, we know he loved orange and purple:) Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Braves and Harley Davidson. He will be missed by friends and family alike.
