Henry Wright, Sr.

Deacon Henry Wright, Sr., 53, passed away Friday, February 25, 2011 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort, SC.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on January 26, 1958 to the late David Taylor and Nellie Mae (Wright) Taylor.He was the owner of Ridgewood Landscaping. He was a member of Burton Deliverance Holiness Church where he served as a Deacon and a member of the Choir. He was educated in the Jasper County School system. He enjoyed working and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.He is survived by his stepfather, Freddie Taylor of Ridgeland, SC; his wife, Julia DeLoach Wright also of Ridgeland, SC; three sons, Henry Wright, Jr., Dominic Wright, Jermaine Gordon; Godson, Johnathan Ferguson, all of Ridgeland, SC; five daughters, Rakeya DeLoach (Minister Lavon) Lewis of Columbia, SC; Sharee Wright (Paul) Herring of Ridgeland, SC; Sadiqua (Warner Scantling) Wright of Ridgeland, SC; Lashade Wright of Walterboro, SC; Chantez Wright, also of Walterboro, SC; three brothers, Wallace (Almarie) Wright, Sr. of Beaufort, SC; Richard L. Wright, Sr. of Ridgeland, SC; Freddie Taylor, Jr. of Ridgeland, SC; four sisters, Elizabeth Drake, Lucille Wright, Helen Spann and Brenda Wright, all of Ridgeland, SC; special nephew, Charles Wright of Ridgeland, SC; seven grandchildren, Faith Lewis, Lavon Lewis, Zamaria Herring, Zakiera Herring, Paul Herring, Jr.; Warner Scantling, Marquasha McQune; Mother in law, Mary Lou DeLoach; Father in Law, Alfred Simmons; sisters in law, Lisa Thomas, Melissa (Kenneth) Brown, Juanita DeLoach; Alfreda Mikell; brothers in law, John J. DeLoach, Jr. (deceased), Medicus (Shaveia) DeLoach and Allen (Ashley) DeLoach; Grandmother in law, Margie Chaneyfield; several Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his brother, Curtis L. Wright, Sr.; sisters, Lorene Wright and Baby Girl Taylor.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Mount Carmel Baptist Center in Ridgeland with burial in Moncepoe Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3 til 8 pm, Friday, March 4, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements. (saulsfh.com)
