Henry 'Hank' Strenkofsky

Henry (Hank) Strenkofsky, 94, passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by his loving wife of 43 years Lynn, his son Jim, and daughter -in-law Debby. Hank is also survived by his daughter Barbara, predeceased by his son David. Hank is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many life- long friends. After graduating from Lehigh University, Hank became a P-38 Captain, stationed in the Aleutians during WWII. He flew 52 missions, 1000 air miles, was a squadron trainer, and was awarded The Distinguished Flying Cross. Hank will be remembered for his kindness, twinkling eyes and beautiful smile, especially when he was gazing at the love of his life, Lynn. His life's mission was to portray kindness. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC Donations in Hank's name can be made to Hospice Care of the Low Country, P.O.
