Herman A. SchweitzerBluffton, SCHerman August Schweitzer, 91, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at NHC Healthcare in Bluffton, SC.He was born April 17, 1919 in West Hazleton, PA to the late Frederick Schweitzer and Ida Rohde Schweitzer.He was a Maintenance Engineer and Service Station Owner; a disabled Army Air Force Veteran and a POW in WWII in Germany.He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Jean (John) Kline of Alpharetta, GA; Judith Anne (Robert) Pettit of Hilton Head Island, SC; Frances Marjorie (Robert) Kimmig of Bluffton, SC; six grandchildren, Kelly White, John Kline, Robert Arago, Maria Homann, Kristine Kimmig, Amy Kimmig-Carey and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years who died in 2004, Marjorie Frances Burke Schweitzer, five brothers, four sisters and one great grandchild, Meghan White.A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Monday, July 5, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
