Hester Phoenix Hamilton, 81, of Bluffton, died January 30, 2014 at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina. She was born on June 12, 1932 in Bluffton, SC the daughter of the late John and Lucille Phoenix. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Hamilton, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Hamilton, Jr. of Bluffton, Michael Edward Hamilton (Selma) of Manhattan, NY, and Robert Lee Hamilton (Holly) of Bluffton, SC; daughters Ethelmae Hamilton Cohen (Jimmy) of Bluffton, SC, Patricia Ann Bassett (Glen) of Mt. Vernon, NY and Deborah Lynn Hamilton Hemmings (Solomon) of Bluffton, SC; sister Ethel P. Brown of Bluffton, SC; 8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at First Zion Baptist Church, 10 Robertson Street, Bluffton with burial at Palmetto Bluff Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at First Zion Baptist Church, 10 Robertson Street, Bluffton with burial at Palmetto Bluff Cemetery.
