Horace Clifford Gaylord

Horace Clifford Gaylord, 74 of Hardeeville and husband of Jennie Clark Grimes Gaylord, passed away on May 4, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Gaylord was born in Hardeeville, SC on April 13, 1943 to the late John Atway Gaylord and Margaret Ann Gaylord. He was a truck driver; enjoyed hunting; tending to his garden and he was a Christian.

In addition to his wife of Hardeeville, he is survived by his son, Tony Gaylord (Marsha) of Monroe, NC; stepdaughters, Jackie Grimes Catterton of Ridgeland, Betty Grimes of Ridgeland and Vicky Dowell (Tony) of Ellabell, GA; stepsons, Bubba Grimes of Titusville, FL and Ricky Grimes of Hardeeville; his sister, Dora Reynolds of Ridgeland; grandchildren, Richard Matthews, Tonya Matthews, Kayla Grimes, Justine Grimes, Lee Dowell, Crystal Dowell, Anthony Arzillo, Nicholas Arzillo and Stephanie Davenport; and great grandchildren, Talon Gaylord, Josh and James Davenport.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams St., Ridgeland with burial in Purrysburg Cemetery, Hardeeville, SC.
