Howard Arthur Vieau Sr., 88, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, SCHe was born on January 20, 1921 in Minneapolis, MN. He was the son of the late Arthur Eouard and Pauline Schilling Vieau.He was a retired computer engineer. He was a member of the Elks Club. He was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church and he was a US Army Veteran of World War II.He is survived by his wife, Mary Gene T. Vieau of Bluffton, SC; five sons, Lance J. (Debbie) Vieau of Kerrville, TX, Paul A. (Cathy) Vieau of Lewisville, TX, Howard A. (Laura) Vieau of Denver, CO, Gregory S. (Nancy) Vieau of Anderson, SC and Bradley J. (Wendy) Vieau of Fairfax, VA; three daughters, Sharon (Arthur) Faircloth of Warrenton, VA, Joanne M. (Raymond Brown) Vieau of High Bridge, NJ and Rosemary V. (Richard) Schmitt of Purcellville, VA; twin brother, Harold Edouard (Beverly) Vieau of Pacific Palisades, CA; one sister, Virginia (Alick) Elsberg of Socorro, New Mexico; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am, Monday, January 26, 2009.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to: Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
