Hubert A. Malphrus, Sr.

Hubert Allen Malphrus, Sr., 88, passed away January 15, 2010 at his home in Ridgeland, South Carolina.He was born on March 18, 1921 in Ridgeland, SC to the late John Walter Malphrus and Golda Lowther Malphrus.He was retired from Civil Service, Hunter Army Airfield; a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; US Army Veteran of WWII having served in Africa and Europe. He was an avid hunter and he loved the outdoors.He is survived by two sons, Hubert Allen (Tommy) Malphrus, Jr. and wife Susan of Brooklet, GA; Keith R. (Deak) Malphrus, Sr. and wife Theresa of Ridgeland, SC; daughter, Kelly M. Brantley of Ridgeland, SC; brothers, John W. (Junior) Malphrus and Pinckney R. Malphrus, both of Ridgeland, SC; sisters, Lizzie Bell Woods , Earline Price and Dorothy Way, all of Ridgeland, SC; Myrtis Gibbons of Hardeeville, SC; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah, GA. A visitation will be held from 6 til 8 pm on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Ave., Ridgeland, SC.
