J. Burton Hulbert

J. Burton Hulbert, 84 of Hilton Head Island, SC passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the The Seabrook Fraser Health Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Oneonta, NY on November 19, 1926 to Burton and Henrietta Specht Hulbert.He was a graduate of Yale University and received his Masters from Syracuse University. After college he worked for the Standard Vacuum Oil Co. in India and Ethiopia. He was a former Alderman for the City of Oneonta, NY. He was a US Army veteran during the Korea conflict. He was the owner of Mid-State Insurance Agency in Schenevus, NY until retirement.He is survived by his wife, Mary Wilsbach Hulbert of Hilton Head Island, SC; one brother, Henry L. Hulbert of Oneonta, NY and several nieces and nephews.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catskill Area Hospice at 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820, or to the Seabrook Foundation at 300 Woodhaven Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
