In Loving Memory of Jack Bergin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Bergin, age 70, of Bluffton, South Carolina, on July 23, 2026.

Born in Melrose, Massachusetts, Jack was the son of the late Roger E. Bergin and Nancy W. (Elwell) Bergin. He grew up in Peabody, MA, as one of nine children and shared a special bond with his twin sister, Jill. Throughout his life, Jack was a devoted son, loving brother, proud father, cherished uncle, and loyal friend whose kindness, warmth, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him.

Jack found joy in life's simple pleasures: spending time with family, sharing conversations with friends, and creating moments that brought people together. He had a gift for making others feel welcome and valued, and his steady presence, compassionate heart, and easy smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His life was a testament to the importance of love, kindness, respect, and treating others with dignity.

Above all, Jack treasured his family. He was a proud and devoted father to his three children, Katie, Robin, and Jay, who were the center of his world. He took great pride in their accomplishments and cherished the time they spent together. His love, guidance, and unwavering support will continue to live on through them.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, Roger E Bergin and Nancy W. (Elwell) Bergin; his brother Peter (Jane) and his brother Brian (Jon).

Jack is survived by his beloved children, Katie Bergin, Robin Dickie, and Jay Reidy; his brother, Kevin Bergin (Robin); his sisters, Jill Bergin, Holly Page (John), Karin Caron (AJ), and Nancy Vaccaro (James), Susan Bergin; as well as many treasured grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

While our hearts are heavy with grief, we are grateful for the memories Jack leaves behind and the countless lives he touched with his generous spirit. Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will remain in our hearts forever.

Jack will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten.

A memorial service celebrating Jack’s life will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Saul’s Funeral Home in Bluffton, South Carolina.
