Jack Curry Best Jr., 65, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010 at his home.He was born in Hazelhurst, GA on October 22, 1944. He was the son of the late Jack Curry and Mary Helen Brown Best, Sr.He had lived in South Carolina for the past 38 years coming from McRae, GA. He was a land developer and consultant. He was the past Worshipful Master of the Hilton Head Masonic Lodge. He was the former Commissioner of the Hilton Head Fire District. He was the former Deputy Wildlife Officer for the SC Department of Natural Resources.He is survived by his wife, Grace Courter Best of Bluffton, SC; one son, Curry (Betsy) Best; two daughters, Mary Nell (Paul) Weiss of Washington, DC and Kelly Best (Brian) Vogel of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, George (Denise) Best of McRae, GA and Phil (Cile) Best of Dublin, GA; two sisters, Eleanor Mauldin of McRae, GA and Jackie (Benny) Jones of Bluffton, SC; four grandchildren, Clay and Ian Weiss, Maggie Best and Maya Vogel.Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at the First Presbyterian Church, 540 William Hilton Parkway, Hilton Head Island, SC with burial in the Six Oaks Cemetery, Hilton Head Island, SC.
