Jack John Koves

Jack John Koves, 73 of Bluffton, SC passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head, SC. He was born in New York City, NY on October 23, 1937. He was the son of the late Harry and Edna Gerhke Koves. He was a retired police officer of the New York Police Department. He relocated to Bluffton, SC in 1999. He was a Catholic. He loved sports and he was a former professional baseball player for the Brooklyn Dodgers. He had also served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Debora Koves of Bluffton, SC; son, John (Myla) Koves of Bluffton, SC; daughter, Susan (Manny) Guillen of Bluffton, SC; and two grandchildren, Jillian Koves and Jack Noah Guillen.Funeral services will be held at 7:30 pm, Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at Sauls Funeral Home Chapel, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton, SC.
