Jackson Thomas Colin, 22, of Bluffton, South Carolina, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 8, 2026.
Born on January 26, 2004, in Greenville, South Carolina, Jackson grew up in Bluffton, where he spent his days surrounded by family, friends, and the coastal life he loved so much. Whether it was weekends at the beach, time with his friends, or simply being with those closest to him, Jackson made every moment count.
Jackson was a recent graduate of the College of Charleston, proudly walking this past December with a degree in Behavioral Psychology. He had a bright future ahead of him and a natural ability to connect with others—something that made him not only successful in his studies, but deeply loved by everyone who knew him.
He had a passion for soccer, music, and fashion, always bringing his own unique style and energy into everything he did. Jackson was known for lighting up every room he walked into, with a smile that people will never forget and a personality that drew others in instantly.
A devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and Clemson Tigers, Jackson loved sharing that passion with his family. Game days were more than just watching sports—they were moments filled with energy, loyalty, and connection, and of course, FOOD, because for Jackson, that was always part of the experience, reflecting the deep bonds he cherished with those closest to him.
More than anything, Jackson loved his family. He is survived by his loving mother, Heather; his father, Shawn; and his brother, Hayden. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Frank and Beanz, along with a large extended family and countless friends who were lucky enough to experience his kindness, humor, and unforgettable spirit.
The number 555 held a special place in Jackson’s heart from the time he was a little boy. Over the years, it became more than just his favorite number—it grew into a family number, creating a lasting bond that now connects his family and extended family in a deeply meaningful way.
Jackson lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting mark on everyone he met. He brought bright color to the world, and his favorite color, purple, reflected the vibrant energy and joy he shared with others. Though his time here was far too short, the joy he brought into the lives of others will continue to shine through the memories shared by those who loved him.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, April 15, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910.
A service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, at Six Oaks Cemetery, 175 Greenwood Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.
A celebration of Jackson’s life will follow immediately at New Riverside Barn Park, 30 Red Barn Drive, Bluffton, SC 29910. All friends and family are welcome to join for food and the sharing of memories of our sweet boy. In honor of Jackson, who brought bright color to the world, the family kindly invites guests to dress in island casual attire and to incorporate purple—his favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to support mental health initiatives at MUSC, in honor of Jackson’s passion for helping others and his dedication to understanding and supporting people through his studies in behavioral psychology: https://fundraise.musc.edu
