James Henry Connors Jr.

James Henry Connors Jr., 78, of Bluffton, SC passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Life Care Center of Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 15, 1930. He was the son of the late James Henry and Lillian Neville Connors Sr.He was a retired mechanical engineer and management consultant. He was a Catholic. He was a USAF Pilot during the Korean War. He enjoyed working on his motorcycle, woodworking, reading, playing the piano and golf.He is survived by his wife, Jean Connors of Bluffton, SC; one son, James H. (Lori) Connors III of Denver, CO; one daughter, Kathleen Connors (William) Milligan of Sterling, VA; one brother, Charles Connors of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two sisters, Dr. Patricia Villamena and Lillian Martin of Mt. Vernon, NY; and two grandchildren, Bronson and Marlowe.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd., Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 with burial in the Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, SC at 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial gifts be made to The Capital Needs Fund, Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909.Sauls Funeral Home of Bluffton, SC is assisting the family with their arrangements.
