James David Fitzgerald

James David FitzGerald, 81 of Bluffton, SC passed away Monday, December 6, 2010 at his home. He was born in Lakewood, OH on November 22, 1929. He was the son of the late Arthur and Loretta Ann FitzGerald.He received his education at St. Ignatius High School, John Carroll University of Cleveland, OH, and Ohio Northern University School of Law. He was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He enjoyed people and was an avid family man. He was an active member in AOH, President of the Lung Association in Ohio, an active employee in the Claims Department of Continental Insurance, a member of Irish Heritage Society of Sun City and he also sang in their choir. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen FitzGerald of Bluffton, SC; four sons James (Kyoko) FitzGerald of Fort Worth, TX, Mark FitzGerald of Rocky River, OH, Patrick FitzGerald of Cleveland, OH, and Matthew (Keren) FitzGerald of Havertown, PA; daughter, Ann Marie (Joseph) Lupidi of Baltimore, OH; two brothers, John (Nadine) FitzGerald of Rocky River, OH and Arthur (Mercita) FitzGerald of Strongsville, OH; sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Fitzgerald of Indianapolis, IN; brother-in-law, Robert McMahon of Rocky River, OH and twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Fitzgerald and his sister Loretta Ann McMahon. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd. Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2010. The family requests memorial gifts be made to Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church Scholarship Fund, 333 Fording Island Rd.
