James William George

James (Jim) William George, 60 of Bluffton passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Hilton Head Medical Center, Hilton Head Island.He was born in Martins Ferry, OH on May 4, 1951. He was the son of the late Anthony Albert and Gaynell White George.He retired as Chief Financial Officer for the Travel Centers of America. He and his family moved to Bluffton in 2006. He enjoyed golf and was President of the Berkeley Hall Country Club.He is survived by his wife, Diana Steen George of Bluffton; his son, Matthew W. (Rebecca) Whitt of Westerville, OH; one daughter, Hilary C. George of Bluffton; two brothers, Anthony Albert (Cynthia) Giorgio of Redlands, CA and Thomas George of Carlsbad, CA; three sisters, Barbara (William) Turner of Brownsville, PA, Maria (Nelson) Allridge of Keller, TX and Susan (William) Modereger of Alta Lona, CA and one grandchild, Madeline Sue Whitt.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Lowcountry Presbyterian Church, 10 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am prior to the service.The family will receive friends from 6 til 8, Wednesday evening at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton.The family requests memorial gifts be made to MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, 86 Jonathan Lucas St., Charleston, SC 29425 or the National MS Society, Mid Atlantic Chapter, P.O.
