James Wilson Goas

James Wilson Goas of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, died July 24, 2022, at Hilton Head Hospital at the age of 93.

Jim retired to the Low Country in 1990 with his late wife Lois, they lived in Callawassie Island and Sun City where they both enjoyed boating and golfing and many friendships through the years. Jim moved to The Cypress in 2014 and lived his remaining last year at The Bayshore.

Jim’s career started by serving in the Army during the Korean war and moved into working at other companies along the way.  In 1970 Jim started his own business in Cincinnati, Ohio which he retired from in 1990. The business is still running strong under a few employees that Jim hired, his children worked for many years in the business and have since retired.

Jim is survived by his children, Kenneth James Goas (Anne) of Tucson, Arizona, and Nancy Kay Meyer (John) of Greensboro, Georgia.

Services and inurnment will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio at a later date, where Jim will be laid to rest.
