James R. Hagen

James R. Hagen, age 45, of Bluffton, SC died Monday, February 23, 2015 at Hospice of Charleston. Mr. Hagen was born on December 5, 1969 in Woodbury, NJ. He was a graduate of Georgia Southern University where he earned a degree in Hotel Management. He had worked with Comfort Inn and Suites on Hilton Head Island, Berkley Hall Plantation, and the Country Club of Hilton Head. He enjoyed playing golf and his four dogs, Coco, Pepper, Cider, and Luna. Mr. Hagen is survived by his wife, Blanca S. Hagen; parents, Ray Hagen and Renee Hagen of Inman, SC; brother, Jeffrey W. Hagen of Loganville, GA; mother-in-law, Hilda Banda of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and many cousins, aunts and uncles and friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. The family will be receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the James R. Hagen Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank, 11 Arley Way, Bluffton, SC 29910.
