James H. “Jim” Schleuss

James H. “Jim” Schleuss, age 81, of Sun City-Bluffton, SC and formerly of New Jersey died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 peacefully at home. Mr. Schleuss was born on July 27, 1936 in Salamanca, NY, the son of the late Henry W. and Lucille Mae Schleuss. He was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and while in college served as the President of his fraternity. He then began his career in sales, beginning with Proctor and Gamble. Jim later served as the President of Superior Coffee Company, but ultimately owned his own business, QAS (Quality Air Specialists) from which he retired. Jim enjoyed boating at the Jersey Shore with his family. He and Lois also enjoyed traveling at home and abroad. Mr. Schleuss is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lois; children, Pamela Cole (Jeff), Randy Schleuss (Christine), Scott Schleuss (Cheryl), and Michelle Fraser (Jim); grandchildren, Crystal, Brian, Justine, Morgan, Julia, and Lauren; and great-grandchildren, Roman and Caitlin. A memorial visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. Also, the family will hold a memorial in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the DAV, Disabled American Veterans.
