Jim was raised on Long Island, New York, and graduated from Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park. He continued his education at the Academy of Aeronautics and then Brooklyn College, laying the foundation for a long and accomplished career in telecommunications. He began his professional journey with New York Telephone, where he worked as an installation technician before advancing to business services, where he served major corporations in Manhattan. He later continued his career as a Telecommunications Senior Analyst with New York University until his retirement.

Jim was known affectionately as “DJ Jim” of Note Busters, providing entertainment for countless weddings, parties, special events and over 13 local senior residential facilities. His energy and love of music brought joy to many.
Following retirement and relocation to SC, he became a Shriner with Alee Shriners in Savannah, Georgia. He valued the fellowship and service, volunteering for the Shriners’ haunted house and driving families to the Shriners Hospital in Tampa, FL.
In his free time, Jim enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. He also had a deep appreciation for photography. Jim will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his passion for music, and the joy he brought to those around him.
