James Robert White passed away on Sept. 29th after a long battle with cancer. Jim was born in Ann Arbor, MI on July 31, 1933. He served in the Navy on the USS Laffey, a destroyer now docked at Patriots Point Naval Museum. Jim worked in various aspects of the automotive industry, eventually running a succesful distributorship. He and Barbara enjoyed retirement, dividing their time between a home on the Chesapeake Bay in MD and condos in FL. His favorite sports were hunting, boating, fishing, crabbing, and golf. After moving to Sun City 10 years ago, Jim served on the Modifications Committee and the Couples Golf Board.
He is survived by Barbara, his wife of 50 years; son James II, daughter-in-law Tina, grandsons Aidan and Gavin of Princeton, NJ; daughter Alison Greene, son-in-law Scott of Jacksonville, FL; and a brother Jack of Weslaco, TX. Jim was a loving family man and a good friend to many -- we were blessed to have him in our lives.
