James Raymond Roseland

James Raymond Roseland, age 74, of Bluffton passed away at his home on May 20, 2017.

Mr. Roseland was born in West Allis, Wisconsin on March 5, 1943. He was the son of the late Clarence Edmund Roseland and Vilia Emilia Starfeldt.

Mr. Roseland was an Electrical Engineer/ Project Manager for Emerson Electric Company. He lived all over the USA including 20 years in St. Louis, MO before moving to South Carolina. He was a Lutheran; US Navy Veteran of Vietnam and an avid golfer. He enjoyed showing dogs – afgan hounds, whippets and rottweilers. He had champions with all three breeds.

Mr. Roseland is survived by his wife of 51 ½ years, Sharon A. Roseland of Bluffton; sons, Stephen R. Roseland (Kathy) of St. Louis, MO and Paul E. Roseland (Jenny) of Tamaqua, PA; grandchildren, Brian (Leslie), Alexa, Nathan, Alec, Marcus, Emiley, Chase, Zachary and Cooper; two great grandchildren, Grant and Hadley.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Sauls Funeral Home, 90 Simmonsville Rd., Bluffton. A Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, PO Box 3827, Bluffton, SC 29910.
