James Walter Thomas Jr.Bluffton, SCJames Walter Thomas Jr., 69, died Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at the Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, Hilton Head Island, SC.He was born in Hartford, CT on August 9, 1937. He was the son of the late James W. Thomas Sr. and Elvira Arms Thomas.He was a retired Aircraft Machinist for United Technologies for forty years; a US Marine Corps Veteran; member of Sun City Democratic Club; Sun City Veterans Association and member of the Campbell Chapel AME Church and choir member.He is survived by three sons, Timothy D. Thomas of East Hartford, CT, Gregory L Thomas of Bloomfield, CT and Wayne K. Thomas of East Hartford, CT; one daughter, Sheila M (Joey) Tickle of Scottsdale, AZ; one brother, John Thomas of Milwaukee, WI and one sister, Sandra Penman of Milwaukee, WI; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Campbell Chapel AME Church, Bluffton, SC.
