Janelle C. North

Janelle C North, 82, of Bluffton, SC and wife of Richard North, passed away on August 12, 2022 at the Hilton Head Island Hospital.

Jan was born in Gatesville, TX to Floyd and Arlene Crosby and was predeceased by one sister and two brothers.

Jan attended Tarlenton College on a music scholarship for studying and playing the oboe and performed in the college orchestra. After college she worked for the Chrysler Corporation’s Parts Division and then as a tax consultant for the Memphis IRS.

She met and married Richard North who worked as a manager in the Chrysler Distribution Office. They lived in Memphis, TN with their sons, Chuck and John.

Jan enjoyed playing golf and making friends and continued that when they retired and moved to Sun City, Hilton Head in the early 1990’s.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Church of The Cross, Bluffton on Calhoun Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Church of The Cross.
