Janice W. Elliott, age 82, of Bluffton, South Carolina died on November 7, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1943 to John and Julia Wall and grew up in Glastonbury, Connecticut until marrying her husband, Thomas W. Elliott on June 1, 1963.
Janice was predeceased by her parents John and Julia Wall, her two brothers Donald and John Wall, as well as her mother-in-law Anna DeNicola. She is survived by her husband Thomas, the love of her life for 62 years, and her three children Sandra Lombard and husband Kevin, Gary Elliott and wife Shelley, and Sheri Baczanski and husband Brian, as well as her grandchildren Joshua Lombard, Zackary Lombard, Nicholas Elliott and wife Megan, Melissa Elliott, Timothy Baczanski, and her great grandson Brooks Elliott.
Janice began her career at Hartford Electric Light Company in Hartford, Connecticut until starting her family with her husband Thomas in Tolland Connecticut. She eventually resumed her professional career at Ecolab until retiring. She loved spending time with her grandchildren especially attending their numerous sporting events which she captured throughout the years with thousands of photographs. She enjoyed family vacations together on the beach at Cape Cod and later on in Hilton Head Island. Her most memorable family vacation was a Caribbean cruise in 2017 with her entire family aboard with her. Janice had many hobbies including photography, crafting, painting, gardening and reading. Janice was an avid UConn Men’s and especially Women’s Basketball fan and watched their games whenever possible. She had many pet cats over the years which were a source of joy for her, especially Bonnie and Clyde.
Janice was an active member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church for many years. She will always be remembered for her love of family and her unending support and involvement in the lives of her grandchildren. She will be missed by all, but never forgotten as her memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for the Spring and the family requests that any donations be made to Friends of Caroline, 329 Friends Lane, Ridgeland, South Carolina 29936.
