Janice Mishoe Horton

Janice Mishoe Horton, beloved wife of Joseph “Joe” Horton, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, after a long illness.

Born on February 20, 1947, to the late Pauline Graham and Myrtle Mishoe, Janice lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and devotion to her family. A longtime resident of Beaufort, South Carolina, she was a member of Community Bible Church and retired after 32 years of service with BB&T/Truist Bank.

Janice found great joy in simple pleasures—sharing meals with her husband, Joe, and spending cherished time with her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Horton of Beaufort, SC; her daughter, Beth Zwetsloot of Charleston, SC; her sisters, Dottie Wilson (Jimmie) of Brunson, SC, Jeanette Sterling (Richard) of Stokes Bluff, SC, Linda Wolf of Ridgeland, SC, and Judy Peeples of Varnville, SC; and her beloved grandsons, Steven Zwetsloot and Thomas Zwetsloot. She was predeceased James “Buddy” Mishoe, Johnny Mishoe, Frankie Mishoe.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Sauls Funeral Home, 310 W. Adams Street, Ridgeland, SC, with burial to follow in Fairfax Cemetery, Fairfax, SC. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Sauls Funeral Home in Ridgeland.

Janice will be remembered for her warm heart, steadfast faith, and deep love for her family and friends.
