Janis L. Kudla

Janis L Kudla (nee Boyd) passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Keith; her daughter, Kristin; her son Jason and his wife Jennifer; 2 granddaughters, Mckenzie and Jordan; and 1 great-grandson , Elijah.

Born in Paterson and raised in Ridgewood, Jan lived in NJ for over 60 years before relocating to Sun City in Bluffton , SC. She was an active participant in alumni activities for Norwich University '68, attending homecoming annually and planning class reunions with Keith.  Jan was an avid traveler who enjoyed seeing and experiencing the world; she was always researching and planning her next adventure.  She traveled to 6 of the 7 continents, visiting places such as the Galapagos Islands, Australia and New Zealand, China, and Russia, and assembled an extensive collection of reminder tchotchkes that were always on display. When not traveling, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and crafting as well as playing mahjong and eating out with friends. Throughout her life, Jan held many jobs but her greatest life fulfillment was that of the family matriarch. Jan was laid to rest at Beaufort National Cemetery in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jan's name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
