WoodsBeaufort, SCJasper Freeman Woods, 83, passed away Monday, October 26, 2009 at Bayview Manor in Beaufort, SC.He was born in Ridgeland, SC on September 7, 1926 to the late James Ellis Woods and Annie Pearl Malphrus Woods.He was a retired Mechanic for SC Highway Department; member, Euhaw Baptist Church; he enjoyed music and playing harmonica, fishing and playing Setback and Rummy.He is survived by his brother, James O. (Evelyn) Woods of Cookesville, TN; two sisters, Dora Nuchols of Calhoun, GA; Gloria Woods (Victor) Mock of Tillman, SC; sister in law, Mary Lou Woods of Ridgeland, SC; nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Woods; brother in law, Wade Goodson and sister, Beulah Goodson.Graveside services will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Grahamville Cemetery in Ridgeland, SC. A visitation was held from 6 til 8 pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the funeral home.Sauls Funeral Home of Ridgeland is assisting the family with their arrangements. (saulsfh.com)
