Jean Augustinsky

Jean Augustinsky, age 65, of Bluffton, SC passed away Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. Ms. Augustinsky was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 24, 1948, the daughter of the late Arthur Charles Hungerford and Lucille DeLibro Hungerford. She was a graduate of St. Vincent's College, School of Nursing where she earned a degree in nursing. She practiced as a Registered Nurse for seventeen years before pursuing her second career as a realtor. She began her career as a realtor in Connecticut where she worked for twenty-three years and continued in South Carolina, serving the Low Country with Remax-Island Realty. Ms. Augustinsky is survived by her sons, Richard David Augustinsky of Bluffton, SC and Craig Steven Augustinsky and wife Vicki of Bristol, VT and Taos Ski Valley, NM; former husband, Richard Anthony "Rich" Augustinsky of Monroe, CT; brothers, Arthur Sal Hungerford and wife Lucy of Surprise, AZ, Bruce Hungerford and wife Diane of Shelton, CT, and Mark Hungerford and wife Cindy of Lakeland, FL; sister in heart, Kathy Frascino; grandchildren, Seneca, Abel, and Bode; nieces and nephews, Paul and Angela Hungerford of Los Angeles, CA, Karen Hungerford of Surprise, AZ, Matthew and Brooke Hungerford of Shelton, CT, and Holly, David, and Joey Hungerford of Lakeland, FL. The family would like to recognize the close friends of Bluffton, SC and Trumbull, CT who have been angels to Ms. Augustinsky. A special thank you to Mary Susan Hungerford, Sandra Benninger, Donna Stephen, Linda Wright, Linda Myers, Connie Davidson, Sheryl Hennessey, and Gail Bromiley. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2014 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909. The family will be receiving friends and eulogies will be read from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jenny Williams Medical Fund, 30 Cottingham Way, Pooler, GA 31322.
