Jean Maffucci Deil

Jean Maffucci Deil, 93, widow of Francis Patrick Deil, died Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at her home in Bluffton, SC.She was born July 20, 1914 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Micchael and Rose Maffucci.She was a member of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church. She was a retired bookkeeper for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, and a former president of The Rosary Society of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of Brooklyn, NY.She is survived by one son, John F. (Dolores) Deil of Staten Island, NY; one daughter, Rosemary Deil of Bluffton, SC; one sister, Lucille Scurzi of Temple, TX; five grandchildren, Mary, Patricia Anne, Joseph, Regina and Michael John; and five great grandchildren, Evan, Corey, Matthew, Soluna, and Stephen. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Rd., Bluffton, SC at 11:00 am, Friday, February 8, 2008. The family will receive friends at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church from 2 til 4 and 6 til 8 pm on Thursday, February 7, 2008. A Wake Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Additional services will be held in Freeport, Long Island, NY.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to: The Capital Needs Fund, Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 333 Fording Island Road, Bluffton, SC 29909.
