Jean Fox Mcteer Thomas

Jean Fox McTeer Thomas passed away at The Medical University of South Carolina on Friday, November 15, 2013 after a brief illness. Born September 13, 1946 to the late Angus Raymond and Aline Tuten McTeer in Ridgeland, SC. She was a graduate of Ridgeland High School and the Bolan Draughon Business School. She was employed by The Savannah Morning News, Continental Can Corporation, Ridgeland Insurance Agency and most recently by the Jasper County Court System. She was a founding member of the Aline T. McTeer Chapter of The Daughters of the King, member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Church in Okatie. She was a devoted Christian who served in many roles at her church. She was a founding member of the Ivy Garden Club and a member of various golfing associations including Sgt. Jasper Country Club. She is survived by her husband John Michael Thomas and daughters Amy (Michael John) Wilson of Columbia, SC and Erin (Gregory Adam) Harmon of Irmo, SC. Also survived by four grandchildren, Michael Thomas Wilson, Elizabeth Jean Wilson, Sarah McTeer Harmon and John Cothran Harmon and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Ridgeland with burial in the Grahamville Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grahamville Cemetery or a charitable organization of your choice. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Ridgeland with burial in the Grahamville Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 pm at the church.
