Jeptha Francis Lane

Jeptha Francis LaneHilton Head Island, SCJeptha Francis Lane, 86, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Life Care Center of Hilton Head.He was the son of the late John Albert and Vera Swelee Hicks Lane. He was born on September 14, 1921 in Kaufman, Texas.He worked with the Apollo Program while he was an engineer in the Federal Systems Division at IBM. He graduated as the valedictorian of the Class of 1950 of Champlain College in Plattsburg, NY. He was a US Army Air Corps Veteran of WWII, and met his wife, Patricia, while stationed in Montreal, Canada.
