Jermaine Durone Alston

Jermaine "Maine Jackson" Alston, 36, was born on August 28, 1977 in Hampton, SC to the parents of Betty Ann Alston and Joseph Stevenson, Jr. He received his formal education from Jasper County School, and graduated from Jasper County High School in 1995. He was employed with Chelsea Plantation for 13 years. Jermaine was a hardworking and devoted father, who loved to play video games with his son and spending time with his companion. Jermaine was very family oriented and loved his parents and siblings dearly. In his spare time Jermaine enjoyed working in the yard and was willing to help anyone in need. Jermaine was very soft spoken, caring and respectful. Every time he was around you would know it by his signature laugh and smile. To his family and friends, he will always be known as, the Gentle Giant. Jermaine was preceded in death by: Nathaniel Alston, Sr. (maternal grandfather), Juanita Alston (maternal grandmother) and Joseph Stevenson, Sr. (paternal grandfather). On Friday, August 30, 2013, God saw fit to call Jermaine home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 06, 2013 at the Mt. Carmel Baptist with burial in the Grahamville Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 3-8 pm, Thursday, September 05, 2013 at Sauls Funeral Home in Ridgeland, SC.
